Tottenham’s owners have no plans to sell the club, despite reports of a possible takeover bid.

Tottenham’s owners have no plans to sell the club and are focused on the long term.

According to reports, billionaire Jahm Najafi is planning a £3.1 billion takeover of the north London club.

So far, Iranian-American Najafi has made no approach.

Najafi is the chair of sports investment firm MSP Sports Capital, and according to the Financial Times, he is working with a consortium of investors to put together a bid for Spurs.

It was also stated that Najafi was only a few weeks away from approaching Tottenham owner Joe Lewis and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Najafi is a minority owner of the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association.

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League after losing the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie 1-0 in AC Milan on Tuesday.

They play at Tottenham Hotspur’s 63,000-seat stadium, which cost £1 billion to build and hosted its first Premier League game in April 2019.
