Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Wednesday, during which they discussed the Syrian conflict as well as bilateral cooperation, according to the Kremlin press service.
The Kremlin statement did not say whether Putin and Raisi discussed the Ukraine conflict.
The leaders agreed to “further increase an entire range of bilateral cooperation” between Russia and Iran and to implement “mutually beneficial projects in the energy, transport, and logistics sectors” as a result of their conversation.
