Leandro Trossard’s quick assist allowed the Brazilian to score in the first minute of the second half by rolling his shot past Danny Ward.
As Arsenal’s Ben White fouled Ward during the buildup, Trossard’s excellent goal from the first half was ruled off.
Prior to Manchester City’s match against Bournemouth on Saturday at 17:30 GMT, Arsenal has a five-point advantage over the champions.
Although Anthony Dewsbury-Hall curled a shot just wide in the second half and Kelechi Iheanacho had a goal disallowed for offside immediately after Trossard’s attempt, Leicester, who are still in 14th place, were lackluster.
