Six Nations 2023: France prop Mohamed Haouas is barred from playing against England and Wales.

France prop Mohamed Haouas will miss the rest of the Six Nations after being suspended for four weeks for his red card against Scotland.

With a head-on collision in the 10th minute at Stade de France on Sunday, Haouas attempted to clear scrum-half Ben White close to the French line.

It was his second red card against Scotland in three years, following a punch to Jamie Ritchie in 2020.

He will be unavailable for France’s upcoming games against England and Wales.

During a hearing before an independent judicial committee, Haouas admitted to engaging in criminal behavior.

He has three days to file an appeal after receiving the full written decision, and he will also miss Montpellier’s league game against Perpignan and the Heineken Champions Cup trip to Exeter.

Scotland were reduced to 14 players four minutes after Haouas was sent off when Grant Gilchrist was shown a red card for a high tackle on Anthony Jelonch’s head.
