Manchester United drop forward Marcus Rashford to the bench for disciplinary reasons.

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United was benched for Saturday’s Premier League game against Wolves due to disciplinary reasons.

Manager Erik ten Hag told BT Sport about Rashford’s absence: “Internal disciplinary action. There are no [details]. Our guidelines.”

Rashford started United’s previous game against Nottingham Forest on December 27, scoring the opening goal in a 3-0 victory.

Alejandro Garnacho, an 18-year-old winger, took his place in the starting lineup.

Rashford replaced Garnacho as a half-time substitute at Molineux.
