Jaylen Brown scores 41 points to lead the Celtics to victory.

BRISTOL, Mass. (AP) — Jaylen Brown had a season-high 41 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to a 125-114 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.

Jayson Tatum had 31 points and 10 rebounds, Malcolm Brogdon had 20 points, and Al Horford had 14, including four three-pointers. The Celtics have won five consecutive home games.

CJ McCollum led New Orleans with 38 points, his fifth game with at least 25.

For New Orleans, Naji Marshall had 18 points and Trey Murphy III had 15. The Pelicans have now lost three of four games.

BULLS 97, WIZARDS 10

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Kyle Kuzma’s 3-pointer with 5.7 seconds left broke a tie, and Washington defeated Chicago.

Deni Avdija grabbed the final of his career-high 20 rebounds for Washington after Zach LaVine missed a 16-footer with 2.3 seconds left. Earlier in the game, LaVine beat the shot clock to tie the game at 97.

Kuzma finished with a total of 21 points. Washington’s backup forward Anthony Gill scored a career-high 18 points, and Monte Morris added 17.

LaVine led Chicago with 38 points. DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls’ leading scorer, missed his first game of the season due to a quadriceps strain.
