Following Jeremy Clarkson’s column, Prince Harry laments the lack of royal protection for Meghan.

Prince Harry has accused the Royal Family of failing to defend his wife Meghan in the Jeremy Clarkson newspaper column controversy.

The Duke of Sussex said in an ITV interview that the “silence is deafening” about the “horrific” Sun article last month.

He contrasted this with the quick action taken at a Buckingham Palace reception following a race row.

Prince Harry also stated that comments about his son’s skin color made in an Oprah interview were not racist.

The columnist was described as “dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while crowds chant ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her” in the article about Meghan.

Later taken down by the Sun and prompting an apology from the paper and Mr Clarkson, the article was described by Prince Harry as “horrific and hurtful and cruel towards my wife“.
