According to the local mayor, Alexandra Cordebard, a shooter opened fire in the 10th arrondissement of downtown Paris on Friday, leaving three persons dead and four others hurt.
“After the spectacular shooting this morning, I came back to Paris and will head to the scene. My entire being is focused on the victims’ relatives. The offender was taken into custody, tweeted Gérald Darmanin, France’s interior minister.
Though all potential explanations are being looked at, the shooting has not been labeled a terrorist event.
