Australia won its sixth Women’s T20 World Cup title by defeating a resilient South Africa by 19 runs.

With a 19-run victory over South Africa in Cape Town, Australia easily won their sixth Women’s T20 World Cup championship.

Australia scored 156-6 in front of a packed house at Newlands thanks to Beth Mooney’s magnificent undefeated 74.

In response, South Africa made a valiant effort, but after a sluggish start, they found it difficult to handle the caliber of Australia’s bowlers and finished with a score of 137-6.

Australia has won the competition six times in seven editions, making it their third consecutive T20 championship.

After losing the toss, South Africa fought bravely in the field, chipping away with frequent wickets to keep Australia’s run rate under control, each one greeted with a spectacular shout. They were inspired by the boisterous crowd.
