Arsenal signs teenage Danish midfielder Kathrine Kuhl

Arsenal has signed Danish midfielder Kathrine Kuhl from FC Nordsjaelland.

This season, the 19-year-old has two goals and four assists in 12 appearances for the Elitedivisionen club.

Kuhl won the Danish Women’s Cup with the team in 2020 before making her international debut in April 2021.

“I’m very excited; it’s a big step for me,” Kuhl said. Kuhl is Arsenal’s second midfield signing in two days, following the arrival of Victoria Pelova on Friday.

Kuhl has 21 caps for her country and will compete in Euro 2022.

“I feel like there are so many great things around the club, all the fans and the community, it’s almost like a sisterhood,” she added.

Kuhl was described as “one of Europe’s brightest talents” by Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall.

“She will add creativity to our midfield, and I am confident she will benefit from working closely with some of our more experienced players,” he added.
