After being chastised by the ADL, Whoopi Goldberg has denied ‘doubling down’ on Holocaust remarks.

Whoopi Goldberg has spoken out after the Anti-Defamation League chastised her for remarks in which she appeared to question whether the Holocaust, which resulted in the murder of 6 million Jews and others, was racially motivated.

Goldberg was chastised in a January episode of “The View” for saying the Holocaust was not “about race.”

“Recently, while doing press in London, I was asked about my remarks from earlier this year,” Goldberg said in a statement released Tuesday. “I attempted to explain to the reporter what I had said and why, as well as recount the incident. It was never my intention to appear to be doubling down on hurtful remarks, especially after speaking with and hearing from people like rabbis and old and new friends.”
